An academic, activist, and practitioner. Her research centers on political violence, political behavior, and gender, with recent projects in Lebanon, Ethiopia, and CAR. Bridging her research into activism, Foster is the voice of the Women in Conflict Podcast and the founder of Continuum,a global feminist community of radical inquiry. In 2011, Foster founded Global Insight a research and evaluation consultancy supporting NGOs in fragile states, where she pioneered the organization's uniquely data-driven, gender-sensitive, mixed-methods approach. She is a graduate of New York University, where she completed a Masters in Data Science, and University College London, where she completed a Masters in Gender Studies. Foster is presently a doctoral student in Yale University’s Department of Political Science.
